Fiat gives 124 Spider blacked-out Urbana appearance package

The compact Italian roadster provides more personalization options than its Mazda Miata clone.

The package offers dark interior and exterior accents to the convertible roadster. It comes with Black Diamond 17-inch aluminum wheels fitted with performance tires, dual exhaust tips, black exterior accents and gloss-black finishes on the A-pillar bar bezel, seat-back pillar and side mirror caps. You also get front fog lamps.

Inside, the package gets you matte gray accents, plus leather and microfiber on the seats and wrapping the instrument panel and instrument cluster hood.

Fiat is offering the Urbana Edition package only on the Classica model of the 124 Spider for an extra $995, which brings the total cost to $27,680 including destination. It'll be on display next week at the New York International Auto Show.

Based on the rendering above, it also come with lowering springs and wheel spacers...

I do kind of like it. Wonder what those wheels weigh.

Apparently the package adds 17” wheels, performance tires and blacked out trim. I doubt the price of $995 includes a lower suspension.

I think the package makes Classica look richer without spending a lot more money.

Actually for $995 that is a lot of bang for the buck.

Why not lower springs? It costs them nothing on a factory built car.

I'm kinda diggin' those wheels. Nothing short of the hand of God is going to bring the Fiat 124 Spider Euro 4-spoke wheels to me here in America. I think I could go with those as a modern artistic interpretation of a 4-spoke wheel. Might have to call the dealer.

Also, if I read the description correctly, it looks as though the Urbana package includes at least some of the interior Alcantara bits...steering wheel, gauge cover. Wonder if they also throw in the brake and shifter boots and the cubby lid (with the scorpion maybe?) Need to see an interior picture of one to know for sure.

There is only one thing keeping these cars from flying off the showroom floors. People don't like/trust Fiat/FCA. Poor dealer support for many here and those dealers are shrinking. These cars look incredible and are more bang for the buck than any sports car on sale right now. And I guess Americans want a SUV or truck more than they want a 2 seater roadster.
