Average MPG

I see the odometer lists two separate "Average MPG" listings of different amounts. Is one for one of the trip meters and the other for the total odometer miles on the vehicle?

Yes. The "Info" button switches between Average and Current. There is also a "setting" that allows you to switch the Average to the overall average or the Trip A average.

Actually it lists "current" and two different "average" screens. I was wondering what each of the average screens applied to.

One of the "average" screens is actually average speed (MPH). I was confused by it for a long time.

You can push the stalk by the display to change between A and B trip odometers.

Only been averaging 9.5L/100km/29.6MPG(IMP)/24.7MPG(US) on City Highway mix.

Car is new and tight, but we used to get 8L/100km/35.2MPG(IMP)/29.4MPG(US) doing the same work out of our Alfa MiTo QV hatch which had the same engine in the same state of tune (identical power/torque) as the Abarth, and weighed about the same.

Maybe it'll loosen up.

On the long highway distance home and for the first tank, I babied mine and got 38 mpg US out of it. 2nd tank with some very spirited driving got 32 mpg US. I was hoping the 38 would be an expected number to hit and not an outlier, but I should expect 32-34 mpg in a mostly highway setup, which is what I get in my NA Miata with 100-200 lbs less weight, and half the power. I'm okay with that

As an update, I've been getting 32-34 regularly. Havent been able to replicate the 38, but I'm happy to get well into the 30s for my mpgeez

I've gotten 38 on the highway during a 4 hour drive. Otherwise, I'm pretty much in the 25-30 range for mixed driving.
