It was liquid vinyl. Apparently the material left a gloss coat instead of a matte.
http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/2017-fiat-124-spider-abarth-tested-reviewThe test car featured the optional ($1995), hand-painted (!) matte black hood and trunklid to give it more of a competition vibe, though it does inspire questions about how to wax the car.
It was liquid vinyl. Apparently the material left a gloss coat instead of a matte.how could the installer not know that was not matte film going on? They do make matte film.

The red one or the white one?Nice look!
The Abarth version retains the car's color on the narrow section between the trunk lid and the convertible top.. As a tribute to the original 124 Abarth color scheme. There is actually an Abarth being used by FCA as a demo which was mistakenly painted the same way. Basically trivia.

Thanks!! Now I just need to find to small rubber grommets to plug the holes where the rear emblem was.Looks good tho.
I like the semi-black Fiat emblem.
Edges need to be sealed or they'll lift up. I also chose the 3M product for the wrapped parts on my BRZ S. 2 years now and not a problem!Actually not. It was along the edges.
Our car uses the newest 3M product available for "Abarth stripe". We currently has 3700 miles on it.... many in 100+ degree Texas heat and so far we are looking good. However time will tell.

Would be interested in your evaluation of Carmax. Did you make any calculations as to how much they would need in order to sell your car, rather than selling it yourself?Lol, I unloaded my car at Carmax this morning for the same reason.
I probably could have made $3-$4k on my car by selling it myself, but the market is flooded with my model. I sat on two ads (cars.com & autotrader.com) for an entire week without a single phone call. I didn't want to go through a 1-2 month hassle with tire-kickers and low-ballers.Would be interested in your evaluation of Carmax. I would say I had about the same experience as well. My car was slammed so the fenders had been rolled and it was due for a service so for me changing trans and diff fluids, changing spark plugs on the flat 4 motor along with all of negative stuff that came from being so low it just wasnt worth it to try to sell it privately for a potential 1-2k more. I went into carmax and told myself I wouldnt take any lower than a number and thats the exact number they came back with so I just cut my loss and got out of my loan and am waiting for my car to be delivered. I think this hurricane delayed my check from getting to the dealer though.I probably could have made $3-$4k on my car by selling it myself, but the market is flooded with my model. Carmax gave me a price which was close to Kelley Blue Book & Edmond's online wholesale. Not great, but what is your time and peace of mind worth? Selling my vehicle at Carmax was fast, easy, and pleasant.
