We have a deposit on a Russo Classica manual transmission 124, however, my dealer cannot tell me when they will ever be in stock now for the past 8 weeks.

My wife is getting ichy and has started looking at other cars. We had a 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX which she just loved and she is now debating getting that instead of the 124. She loved the way the MX-5 drove, but doesn't like the body style/looks. She's ok with the WRX, but prefers the wagon version which they no longer make.

Anyone else agonizing over car choices? To wait or not to wait?

Gosh darn... the WRX is really different from the 124, comparing the wagon to the spyder is real tough lol.

But you are definitely not alone when it comes down to the choice of waiting or not. Nonetheless, I have a good bit of time before I'm going to pull the trigger so I'm not too worried about it.

I want a red Classica manual too. My dealer wants me to put down a $500 deposit. I'm giving my current car to my granddaughter when she turns 16. That's not until July of 2017. Should I put down a deposit, or just wait until spring. The winters are cold up here in Minnesota.....

it's a convertible, worth the wait!
Although she does want the convertible, she's more enamored with the Turbo, manual shift, and 305hp of the WRX.

We owned a 1978 Fiat Spider 124 and a Coupe and she worked in the Fiat Warranty department for 10 years in Montvale, NJ so Fiat's have a warm place in our hearts and wallets.

I was fortunate to get a Pearl White Lusso manual on September 7 and love it!. My Finday FIAT Dealer in Henderson, Nevada said that only 8 Lusso manuals were only available in the whole United States at that time. I believe the majority of the manuals in Classica landed on the west coast dealers.

If you have that much time then I would not put down a deposit, just wait until cars are more available. I think once one puts a deposit down one is at a disadvantage when haggling over price.

Holt Fiat in Hurst, TX (Fort Worth) has a Lusso manual and its discounted to $29,035. It's the Bronzo M Titanium, which is the color of my car - looks great. It may be one to consider - they delivered mine to Louisiana: http://www.fiatusaofhurst.com/new-inventory/index.htm

Thank you! An inquiry has been sent to them.

For some reason it doesn't show up in Fiat's inventory search, even if I change the zip code to Hurst itself. The only other Lusso manual w/ premium is in New Jersey and they want $3000 over list, so I told them to stick it and I'd wait.

The guy I dealt with is Julius, but he's no longer there. The manager is Dhruv at 903-757-2048. It may be efficient to call him but their website is still showing it, along with a bunch of automatics.
