I just purchased my Abarth 124 so sorry for digging up this old thread.
Do you think this car cover would be ok in a parking garage? The car will not be near the open sides so I wont get any blowing rain from outside. Ill be parking my car a week at a time so Id like something to protect it while Im away.
I have the same cover as Frank, and I've now used it over two winters in my unheated garage. I would not use it in any location where it would be exposed to rain, snow, or moisture of any kind (snow might be okay so long as it got brushed off before it had a chance to melt). I fear the water would just soak through like dropping a towel in a sink.
In Frank's first post in this thread, you'll notice he says he needs to bend the antenna a bit when he puts it on. In my case, I purchased the "stubby" antenna replacement, and the radio antenna on this car just screws off by hand. So what I do each winter is unscrew the stubby, and place it in my centre storage cubby before I put the cover on. The cover comes in a decent zippered carry/storage bag, and the soft velour type lining of it does a really nice job of protecting the paint. That said, I would ensure the vehicle was clean before putting it on. I wouldn't want to risk scratching the paint by accidental abrasion caused by dirt on the car being rubbed while the cover is being put on or taken off. There are cheaper covers out there, but these ones fit like a glove and are pretty decent quality.
