From Allpar via Italian publication Il Sole 24 Ore we find out that FCA and the 124 Spider may play hookey from Frankfurt and instead debut the 124 Spider at the Los Angeles show in November.

Supposedly the motivation for shifting venues comes from the fact that America was long the top market for the original 124 Spider.

However the potential is there for the 124 to make two world debuts. Could FCA plan to release the regular 124 in Frankfurt, and the hot Abarth in Los Angeles?

Specific details haven’t been released, but a well-placed source at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles confirmed to TheDetroitBureau.com that the new 124 Spider will be revealed at the Los Angeles Motor Show in November.
