Not long after the Fiat 124 Spider debuted in LA, FCA has trotted the hotter Abarth 124 out for testing.

The spy shots aren't terribly revealing but they do give us a preliminary glance at the upgraded wheels, tires, brakes and the pièce de résistance- quad tipped exhausts.

The little guy should be plenty punchy, with Fiat looking to homologate the car for entry into the WRC's new RWD category.

Expect to see the Abarth 124 in the second half of 2016.

Fairly sure the exhaust will be dressed a little more nicely whe it comes out. That just looks like all the underbones that they guild with shiny metal before putting on lots.
