Pics or it didn't happenEither way, I bought the emblems, got a pack for 4 a few days later, firs perfectly on the steering wheel, exact same size as the fiat logo and looks exactly like the one they use in the non U.S. 'models.
The replied me and he doesn't ship to Canada. I like his badge looks like what's on the steering wheel, but 53mm that would be 3mm short, My only option is to buy it and have ship to this guy in Italy which I will seem in January on vacation.anyone found a solution ....I found a supplier in Italy that would make the emblem adhesive for the 53mm diam. but refuses to sell to NA.
I bought these and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality... They are made with aluminum that is about 1/64" thick so they are pretty rigid. The finish is very nice. The shield, scorpion, and lettering is raised and bright gold, the colors are correct, and the finish seems pretty durable.
Not sure if my image came through, it fits perfectly.I have no idea if it will fit because I won't get the car I ordered until May or June...
So what's holding the emblem, you can post the inside of the emblem, no one will know it's a Fiat. LOLRBh58 ....want to sell your airbag ? :crying:
Ok, I ventured today and dismantled all the airbag hoping to remove the fiat emblem....will not post any pics due to liability. (I can answer any questions if you want).
the fiat emblem (and the Abarth in Europe) are made of a tin material with 7 bent tags that hold it in place. The baking, to hold the tin from bending in, is part of the cover and is plastic it is not flat. ie: the emblem is not sitting on a flat surface but slightly curved and it is not a stick on.
if you are trying to remove the emblem....you will not be able to unless you dismantle the whole airbag.
the airbag pops out by pushing on 3 locations with a small screw driver inside the 3 holes on the steering wheel.
So for NA, we either change the whole airbag ($1000) from Europe or put stick on or live with the UGLY Fiat emblem (sorry my opinion).
Canabarth, excellent, can you give us the ebay supplier, and also how did you go dismantling the steering whell. Was that difficult. tiaSee below solution. emblem sourced from a wheel center cap available from different sources/plastic/chrome sourround......as close as oem. diameter is less by 3 mm only. some surgery to the airbag plastic cover but not intrusive....all Fiat emblems removed
