you're lucky!

News from FCA is showing that the 1st 124 Abarths are scheduled to arrive in Baltimore on Sept 7th. 308 Units on the way.
Since Baltimore is the port of entry you get them first! My salesperson told me that we'd have them in central Texas about three weeks later due to transportation time.

Curious to see how many Abarths start showing up around FCA's Auburn Hills, MI Tech Center.

Hopefully someone will be able to get some pics of the cars coming off the boat on Wednesday. I wonder if it'll be an even split with the Abarths that have the heritage package and the ones that dont.
I believe.. if they are coming from Japan.. they will not have the heritage stripe.
I'd guess those won't show up until November .. From Italy to US.. As Fiat said the heritage stripe would be hand painted in Italy.

They are all coming from the Hiroshima plant and then once they hit port they're sent to one location to have the stripe applied here in the US. So I'm assuming if they dont do this whole first batch with the stripe then we'll start seeing those w/o it sooner than the ones with it. I for one no longer want the stripe since I was so indifferent towards it until I found out the price tag attached to it.

Not common for that to happen. Too bad Fiat isn't more engaged with the community otherwise they would send someone out to do bits of coverage like that and overall do that sort of follow up.

Still, there a chance we'll see something.

Yea it's weird because I remember seeing the Abarth commericals with that model and then seeing all the 500s drive off the cliff and I couldnt get away from seeing them but with the 124 they've been fairly hush about it. I'm so used to Subaru and how they do things like even though it was underwhelming but they teased the BRZ yellow series and then announced it at the Wicked Big Meet.

FWIW:

"Dear Mike,

Thank you for contacting the FIAT Information Center.

I appreciate your interest in purchasing the 2017 FIAT 124 Spider
Abarth. The vehicle is scheduled to be released at the end of the third
quarter/beginning of the fourth (i.e. September/October). I would
strongly recommend continuing to work with your local Studio with
updates of when your particular vehicle arrives at the Studio."

I live in Indiana and I spoke with two dealers. The first said "early february" for any Abarth editions. I went to another dealer two weeks later, and their estimate was maybe "December/January" and said that they can't special order any, nor will they come with the heritage stripe.

The Abarths are already here in the UK. Launch day in dealerships from the 23rd - 25th September.
Well, this video certainly looks like it could be a UK dealership...
