Nice. So the heritage stripe is available to us?
McCarroll's are offering a 3M satin black wrap equivalent for $1,499.

The reason that the Heritage Pack isn't available in Australia is because it's applied by Abarth in Italy (not the factory in Japan). To offer it would mean the cars would need to be shipped from Japan to Italy, then onto Australia. This would significantly increase delivery time and cost. Hence the decision was made not to offer it as a painted option.

If you particularly wanted the car painted there would be nothing to stop you approaching a local panel shop.

Yep. Fiat Australia's cars are shipped direct from Japan to Australia and don't go via Italy. So stuff like the Heritage Black Outs have to be done locally as a wrap for now. Ditto, the Record Monza exhaust isn't available in Aus yet :(

We are picking up a White Launch Edition today....and we had a **** of a time getting insurance cover for it. Seems nobody told the Australian Insurance companies that it was getting released this month! Hey...it is "Fiat" after all. I'm sure "lunch" was more important LOL

This website blocks out the word H-E-L-L? W.T.F.? Prudish Americans! LOL

For us here in that USA, the cars are also shipped straight from Japan to the USA, but they are doing the heritage stripe here in the USA. The cars are shipped to a central location in the US and the stripe is painted before going on to the dealer. I'm surprised Australia does not have a similar arrangement.

I think it's planned to work the same way. But seeing as Fiat Australia can't even send at email to the Australia Insurance Industry to let them know the car exists, it may take some time. "Eh (shrugs shoulders)...domani!"

Don't feel bad, Geico didn't know what to do when I had asked for a quote, they initially were quoting me the same price as V8 muscle cars, thankfully now they have it figured out and its by no means as expensive as I had initially been quoted.

The quote we've got here from the only insurer will to take the car on at the moment is 50% more than the BRZ (I think they've just made a number up) which is hard to reconcile. Our current insurer (of 6 years) told us they couldn't help and are prepared to let us walk away. Little do they know that the house and contents and BRZ insurance are going to walk too! :)

[email protected] QBE must be the only one we didn't try. I think we got ripped by Allianz. Oh well. Next year :(
You can cancel your insurance at any time and they'll refund you the unused portion. The only downside is it's sent out by cheque rather than EFT.

Even with QBE I'll be looking around once the industry cottons on to there being a new 124.

You keeping the BRZ or is the Abarth a replacement?
