2020 124 Abarth, (one of the last ones built). Traded our 124 Abarth 2017 (2016) build date (one of the first ones). Same black color, but the 2020 has all options offered. The 124's looked almost identical.
Never had any issues with the 2017, drove 49,940 miles, no issues!

Our new 2020 build date: August 2020.
Love this car. Now have about 2,200 miles on it and we notced that the backup and GPS have started to act slow. The backup camera is spotty and not functioning.
Anybody else experience slow GPS responce coupled with rear camera not functioning.
It's on warranty, but the Abarth has so many safety features, heated and dimming side mirrors with warning system etc.,
even headlights that turn with the road. So if it is a simple fix, I would like to know before Fiat dealership starts trying to find the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

My 2017 Abarth has all the features you note on your 2020, and I've never experienced any lag with the reverse camera. It comes on and runs flawlessly as soon as I begin to back up. Navigation can be a bit slow to start up if you've been parked inside and it hasn't registered position with the satalites yet, and I've had it stutter playback of music from a USB stick when I've got a long and complicated navigation route running. Anytime anything seems to be acting wonky with the Infotainment System (and I'd put both of these items in that category), I perform a system reboot and that typically fixes things. The system has a very limited amount of memory and both symptoms you speak of seem to lean in that direction.

I notice a significant start up delay if a USB drive is inserted. The system seems to want to scan the contents of the USB drive before loading the rest of the services. I typically see 30-45 second delays before music starts to play and other functions are available. If I remove the USB drive the start up times are dramatically shorter. FYI, my 32GB drive is near full.

I have noticed indeed that bootup can be excruciatingly slow sometimes. Especially if I need to change audio sources, etc, before actually start moving. The backup camera doesn't take quite as long because it bypasses some of the other processes and has priority - but even that lags a bit sometimes.

I've noticed it wants to update bluetooth contacts on EVERY startup. I wonder if you turn off Bluetooth maybe it would start up faster? At least then you'd know the cause.

I tried switching SD cards for the NAV to a faster card, but that went south since to make a backup of the NAV card you have to run the new backup through the updater, which failed for me (whole other thread)... so it's possible a faster NAV card would allow a faster bootup also.

That's a thought! As I tend to use Google Maps over the factory Nav, maybe I'll just take the Nav card out and see if that changes anything. WIll see if disabling the bluetooth does anything. While the slow boot up is a pain in the patoot, the rest of the car fun factor makes up for it. If I have to, I guess I'll just live with it.
