Anyone in the Bay Area down to take a drive? I do weekly drives on my own and thought it would be cool to have some spiders out in the canyons. Mainly envious of the Porsche club guys. So many good drives let me know who’s interested. Was thinking next weekend and maybe make it a once a month thing if interested.

Thinking I'll be meeting with the Miata guys for our usual Sunday morning drive this weekend if you want to join. Weather should be nice. If it isn't I'll probably be heading up the mountain for snowboarding, which takes a lot of my time for the next three months.

Otherwise we could find a regular time to meet up and drive.

I'd love to meet up in the Bay area with my Lusso. Unfortunately we have Covid Lockdown throughout the UK.... the law states we must stay "local". Oh, and there's the small matter of the Atlantic Ocean !!!!

I am interested but unlikely to be available this weekend. It would be great to make something like this regular for us Bay Area folks, and a way better plan than starting my car once a week in the driveway while insisting the kids do yardwork.

That has not been finalized as we always mix it up. Normally it is up North on Skaggs or East on Mines. But there is rumbling of exploring the South. I'm open to any and all as the weather should be nice out.

I live in Livermore and my parents live in Fremont where I spent most my life! So I grew up driving Calaveras, and now in Livermore drive mines at least once a month. There are other canyon roads on the way to mines that go toward Tracy, also have been exploring the Santa Cruz mountains lately. I am down for anywhere really! Lol

Anyone here own a white 124 in the Bay Area race a black NA Miata on 680NB maybe a year ago? That car spanked my na bad and solidified my purchasing a 124 when the Miata got totaled.

I will know tomorrow where I will be meeting the Miata guys. We usually meet around 8am Sunday morning. Location depends on where we are driving.

Here's the amended route that doesn't put us on the freeway on the way to Winters, but rather on the mountain twisties, after Oakville Grade:

Let's plan on meeting Sunday, 8am, at the Tesla Supercharger on Vintage Way in Novato (starting point on the map).

We can stop for a quick bite in Winters, and if you feel like heading back and done with twisties, you can go your separate way and head to the freeway from there.

@murix how often would you say your group meets up? I can’t make it this week and was actually trying to set something up next Sunday.

Almost every Sunday. Not always the same people every time but a lot of the same core group. A few times it was just a couple of us but that's OK. Getting out for drives during this extended lockdown is one of the few things we can enjoy.

Everyone did take a break over the Christmas holidays. I skipped a few weeks between snowboarding, Christmas, and track time at Buttonwillow. But the weather is nice again so game on.

It’s supposed to be super nice this weekend so if anyone is interested in an early morning drive let’s do it! Up for most destinations.

Yeah so I was thinking highway 9 or Mt Hamilton. Be there by 830 ish and maybe stop for some food at junction or Alice's. If that's good with everyone that's what we will do. Whatever location works best that's what we will plan on. Any other suggestions LMK and we can plan accordingly. Also need to figure a meeting place.

I'm actually heading to Santa Cruz tomorrow from Oakland, which conveniently allows me to take a drive down skyline blvd from SF to highway 9 to Santa Cruz. I won't be heading out until late morning though as not supposed to be there until around 1. Might leave around 11am. That does run the risk of traffic unfortunately.

Yeah that’s why I wanted to go early and I still have to work on a friends versa. Hopefully we can drive together when the versa gets done.
