Thanks! I am completely perplexed by this as well and second-guessing pad failure. My first thought was a seized caliper based on the noise but the wheel spun with no problem. Pins seem well lubricated. WTF.

Run in question if anyone is interested. Had no idea the brake pad was screwed until I pulled into the paddock.

I stopped using DS2500s because they overheated and left terrible deposits on the rotors. Using GLoc R12 for track use and they've been solid.

Did you take traction control off during the runs? If not, that explains why.....

Wow! That’s one serious pad your using! Is your car street driven at all? If so how are those pads street manners?

I don't use them for street except sometimes to drive to and from the track, I have Glocs GS1 street pads for daily use.

What are your thoughts over all on the glock gs1? For street and moderate track?

I wouldn't use them on track at all, and for the street they're fine, not noisy and not too dusty. They don't stop as well as the R12, but that's to be expected from street pads.
