I know AFE makes dry( non oiled filter) But BMC do they make dry as well.

Which is better, Madness has BMC for $89 while Eurocomp has the AFE for 59.

Quality wise which is better and are they life time or need to be replaced after so many miles. tia

Since I run it in both my 2015 50th Anniversary Mustang and my 124 Fiat. It is top quality, lifetime filter. I use the dry, non oil filter. At every oil change, (5,000 miles) , I remove and clean by dunking in a five gallon bucket of warm water and Dawn Dish Liquid, then rinse with warm water in the kitchen ( when wife is not around!!LOL). Let dry overnight near a/c retun in the house. :):)

The AFE dry filter can be cleaned - they claim simply tapping it will restore it to 85% clean, vacuuming it will restore it to 96% clean and washing it in a mixture of warm water and mild detergent will get it 100% clean.

There's no millage limit listed.

I plan on cleaning it at each oil change.

I have been using a dry AFE filter on my Dodge for about 8 years, 120,000 miles now. I take it out and clean it with water at every oil change, let it dry, and put it back in. Never had an issue with the filter, great quality and I don't see it stopping anytime soon.

With that experience I bought the AFE dry filter for my 124A and look forward to using the filter for 8+ years with the same, minimal, maintenance I've been using. Can not recommend the AFE product enough.
