I have already replaced the backup bulb in the center assembly. It looks like there's one Phillips had screw holding in the rear turn signal assembly.

Has anybody taken this apart if so is there a clear bulb in there that is used for backup as well?

Are you asking if you can add an additional back up into the tail lamp, then the answer is no. Replacement bulbs are just that replacement bulbs do what you want with them

I just removed the 1 screw. There are more holding it in. Before I remove more, are there upgradable bulbs in that assembly? View attachment 96606
Before you remove the assembly, can you access the bulbs through the trunk by removing the trunk liners? I have a vague recollection of the light assembly when putting in sound deadening panels into trunk well.

Turn the ignition on, select reverse, you can only replace what is lit ie. the centre light. Why would you think the indicators were reversing lights? Sorry if I offend but some peoples logic amazes me sometimes.🤷‍♂️

No not offended at all. In the majority of all vehicles on the street, the reverse lights are incorporated into the assembly that has the term signals. Most newer vehicles Have it also incorporated into that 3rd center light assembly. Even my 2007 Chevy avalanche has the backup lights in both the turn signal assemblies and the 3rd light assembly

I took mine partially apart when I did my full LED light conversion so I could swap out the OEM halogen turn signal bulb. The bulb you replaced is the only reverse light on the car. The taillight assembly only contains the taillight and the rear turn signal.

There are no reverse activated lights in the taillamp housings. Only driving lights, brake lights, and turn signals. The driving/brake lights are factory led built into the housing, non serviceable. The turn signals are incandescent bulbs and can be replaced with an led bulb. The reverse light is only a single white incandescent light in the bottom middle housing. This can be replaced with an led and only requires you to twist out the socket from the housing, and replace the bulb with a brighter option. You don’t need to remove any of the housings to replace the bulbs that are replaceable. Hope this answers your questions.

Here's the service manual description and images of how to replace the bulb. For extra gits and shiggles, you'll see they refer to it as the rear fog lamp, and of course in North American versions of the car, we have no such thing. What the instructions are referring to is your backup light, mounted in the lower center of the rear of your vehicle. As @mtnghost noted, you don't need to disassemble anything to swap out the bulb, and in @ameridan 's site and link he provided for bulbs, you'll be able to see what spec you need to get a brighter LED replacement for the OEM bulb.

Related aside, maybe I'm playing with fire, but I have never disconnected my negative battery cable to make bulb swaps. Seems like overkill to me, especially given that the negative cable has that somewhat fragile and bloody expensive piece of electronics attached to it. Then again, I'm neither a mechanic nor an electrician, so take my comment with a grain of salt.
