Inspired by our SoCal friends, and knowing that there's at least 7 or 8 members in the state, is anyone interested in a Colorado meet-up? We could do something as simple as meeting up at an eatery somewhere in the Frontrange for brunch or do something more adventurous and figure out a drive somewhere in the mountains.

We've probably got a good six weeks of snow possibly causing a problem (the un-forecast 5 inches on my driveway this morning being a case-in-point), but that gives us enough time to plan something.

If there's enough interest, I'm happy to take on the planning. Let me know.

Cheers,
Graeme.

Once the weather is better I would be interested. Though I have avoided I25 thus far. Up north between Fort Collins and Denver is always a mess and just waiting to cause paint damage or crack the windshield, or given the stats kill you. So backroads for me in the little 124.

OK - sitting in my office looking at the snow fall outside and generally task avoiding. Got to thinking about this again.

Anyone up for a meet up Saturday June 2nd? Far enough out to be (almost) sure we won't get snowed off and misses the memorial day weekend.

I was trying to think on somewhere relatively easy to get to from both north and south of Denver and figured Golden might work..? Plenty of eating options if we want to do that and easy access to some fun roads if anyone wants a quick mountain run before or afterwards.

Let me know what you think.

I’m in for a meet, but can already say June 2nd is out for me as I will be out of state.

In the mean time, I will point this out to IanA who lives in Breckinridge as he may not be following this thread.

This may always be a problem. Pls don’t change it on my behalf and for what it’s worth, I would barely make it back by the 8th.... maybe.

OK - let's stick with the 2nd.

I like Steve's idea of meeting at Wundervu Cafe, although if we get anyone else interested we can maybe adjust and find a location that works for everyone.

That would be a fun 2 hour drive (one way) for me! Lyons, to Ward, Netherlands, and then drop down to the Wundervu Cafe. Maybe Estes on the way back. Very nice!

OK - we have the makings of a plan :)

We can figure out a time and I'll book a table if we think it'll be necessary closer to the day.

If you’ll allow an avid 124 owner from Wichita to join your group, I’m always looking for a reason to drive out to the mountains and enjoy your great roads.
Hi Firmie - welcome to the boards. Absolutely welcome - the more the merrier.

Deb and I just picked up our new mare blue metalic 2018 Classica from Auto Nation this morning. We love it! Meeting in Golden would be good for us as it doesn't involve freeway travel. I-25 is like flying a fighter plane in combat.

*BUMP*

We're a week and a half out from our proposed Front-Range meet up, June 2nd, at Wundervu Cafe on Coal Creek Canyon Road (Hwy 72).

Can I get a show of hands from those planning to be there? I was going to propose meeting at 9 am but if that's too early or late let me know - I'll be pretty flexible on the day. If enough people are planning to come along, I'll see if I can book a table.

Hope to see you there,
Graeme.
