There are many different types but I wonder if these are made for the 124 or a set like those below modified for fit.

Those are indicators, right? So they would only function as that - they wouldn't be repurposed as DRLs?

There may be a 3rd wire that is used to power it as a DRL when not using the indicators.
Fun fact: the front turn signals are the exact same part as the front turn signals on the 2014-2016 Mazda 3
