Has anyone installed these door bushings? Is there a noticeable difference in the ride quality?

I've had mine a little over two months, and there is a small difference the door feels a little bit more solid than before.
Mostly i like the way they look they match the decor of the car.
I would say 50/50 performance & style.

I've had the red ones for over a year. I found a minor improvement in how the door closes (more solid) as for stiffness I can't say I noticed a change. Cheers

I concur with the above posts. I installed them and yes a solid thud for closing. But I never really took any notice of firmness that they may have added, in the rigidity of the car.

Aloha mike

But they LOOK great!!

Destructo ....might I ask where you obtained the red trim on your lower skirt?

Home Depot.
He used red duct tape to see how it looked.
At the Socal Meet and Greet we asked @Destructo about it and only when you get up close do you notice that its duct tape.
He said hes taken it through the carwash a few times and its holding up well.

Ha ha ha it's true
I tried putting vinyl on but it kept falling off,
i also considered painting them but i was told by a professional that due to the location that the paint that it would not last.
I'm very surprised that the tape has lasted this long it still looks good.
But it is a bit embarrassing using duct tape on your car,
eventually i will be replacing it with a better material, but honestly so far i haven't found a better product that matches the glossy red on the mirrors & front lip or the durability,
Like i said, I'm very surprised how long it has lasted.

I installed this on our Spider and it can only really be noticed over uneven surfaces and things like railroad track and such. Cheap mod, probably worth the effort.

Brett, you sell one made of a different material in black. Would you recommend one over the other?
The black one we sell is the same as Cravenspeed. I cannot speak to the differences to the red one but it is designed to increase rigidity from the door openings. It is a small gain but worth it if you are doing mods like this.

I've been thinking about buying the black one because I don't want red. Thanks Brett.

I have the saddle interior so I think black would look better than red.

On a red car with a black interior, the red ones would look great.

@depotdan ordered the black AR version for Aurora. He had the GWR version in Fabiana and they were a lot blockier. The AR version are made from the same Delrin plastic as GWR but have a much better machined finish. The red from CS is a dyed acetyle (White Delrin) which look the same as the AR Black version either way you cant go wrong. They do have a more rigid feel over abrupt bumps.

Actually I bought my door bushings from Moss Motors. They are made by Cobalt. Cobalt also manufactures the hood lift system. There must be $$ in door bushings as several manufactures offer them. The Cobalt bushings are black delrin.

If I were to do this mod again, I would go back to the GWR bushing. It’s not as pretty as the others, but IMO fit better and had a more positive feel closing the door.
