2018 Fiat 124 Spider Abarth
I admit it was a bit chilly washing the car at 7C/44F; my fingers were aching after 20 minutes or so. But it was worth the short-term pain.
Here’s my ‘medicine cupboard’, 95% of it is Chemical Guy product, but I have also collected others as well. I find great calm in detailing all of our cars and this one in particular.
That's a not-insignificant investment in car care right there! Chemical opulence! Here’s my ‘medicine cupboard’, 95% of it is Chemical Guy product, but I have also collected others as well. I find great calm in detailing all of our cars and this one in particular.
Yes, I’ve used these for years, though not on my ‘pride and joy’ she gets special treatment when washed.I’ve been using this synthetic chamois for years on a multitude of cars I’ve owned: it works well, is easy to use, wash and store, and lasts a very long time. I’m only on my second one in 15 years.
After you dry the car, it works great wiping the interior clean, too.

HiI wouldn’t worry too much, but is not an easy substrate. It’s not paint, I think it is a Matt vinyl, similar to a wrap. I wash the whole car with a good quality neutral shampoo (no wax/ additives). I wax and polish the car a couple of times a year, otherwise I dry everything off and then use a quick detailer on the paint. On the stripe I use this product, but follow the instructions properly and it will leave the stripe looking as intended. The material is pretty robust, it won’t be subject to swirls like paint so just take your time. BTW,. I am sure there are other good Matt polishes, but as I say, I like this one. What was the process you used on the heritage stripe. Been very leery to is anything. Worried about swirls
