Today we released Euro+Drive Lite for the Fiat 124. I am very excited about this product. It's high quality hardware from an OEM supplier in Italy. My team and I have spent 6 months developing this for the 1.4 liter turbo. It's been through many thousands of miles, including running at Fiat on the Dragon, and various motorsports events. We also put it through 1000 miles on the 124 itself.
The price of the unit is reasonable, and for those of you who don't think 200hp is enough, there is a self tuning option to get even more power, or take advantage of further mods.
It gives a very honest 200 flywheel horsepower. I am being very conservative when saying that because the actual number on the dyno chart for the Dynamic map is 197 horsepower at the wheels. We use Auterra Dyno software to measure this, which reads a little higher than a stationary rolling road dyno. This isn't because it's less accurate, it's not, it reads higher because you get 80mph of air through the intercooler, through the radiator, and into the intake system, far more than you get from a typical dyno shop fan. Airflow through the intercooler is a big deal, especially since we have been testing on 95+F days. As an example, the stock number on the Dynojet was 133, on Auterra 149.
I'll post more technical info on dyno testing of this car very soon. The short version is that as we saw in VW's "Diesel Gate" saga, this car knows when it's on a dyno, and accurate results when you exceed the stock boost levels just won't happen because the ECU pulls the power back.
In short it has 200 horsepower, and makes the car a lot of fun to drive. It's safe because we used conservative parameters, and we have been tuning these engines for years. The product is removable and leaves no traces behind. Nobody will know you had this on your car once it's removed. It can be transferred to another 124, or with a map change to any other Fiat 1.4 turbo.
