2018 Abarth Spider
I looked at this when I received my V4 and I made an executive decision to use it “backwards.” I don’t believe you would see a flow difference either way, but there is clearly a possibility of sucking in dust through the gaps in the carbon fiber housing…which would bypass the filter. Installing it with the filter piece attached to the turbo side, there is no way for particles to bypass the filter…oh boy. it looks like i got one of the v4's with the arrow and label pointed the wrong way. i've been running with the tip of the cone closest to the turbo, following the arrow sticker on the outside as orientation for the airflow. for.... years....
Nope. It was correct. Confusion about the tip. It's the tip of the orange internal plastic cone that should point to airflow entry. Which means narrow side of the filter cone is by turbo
if others have better information/experience, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
