AutoGuide has a poll that asks whether people prefer the Fiat 124 Spider or the Mazda MX-5 Miata. The poll currently has the 124 winning (57% to 43%).

Most of the comments talk about the look of the two vehicles as well as the engine performance.

Same great chassis, no real room for distinction there.

Torque is a hair better in our Fiat than the Miata, but torque is more evenly spread through the rpm range on the Miata. The Miata is easier to race because reaction of the motor is more immediate, no turbo spool to plan around. I like the looks of both though the vintage flavor of the 124 is my preferred choice on just looks. In terms of SOUND, the Fiat is just ridiculously fun for burble and pop once our highflow exhaust is added, though ND Miata with our Race muffler is also a ton of fun, both below so you guys can compare.

Now someone just needs to throw a turbo onto one of these, that sound combined with the spool from a turbo, along with the wastegate going off and all that good stuff will go a long way.

We just started offering an AVO turbo kit for the ND. Test kit was on local ND here but I did not get a chance to drive it. Waiting for new TVS900 Supercharger setup on our ND, for racing I prefer the direct response and super flat torque curve that blower will give us on the ND. Hope to be testing that new Supercharger setup on our ND by January, pic below...

I much prefer the Fiat. I think it looks better, I like the engine a lot more, and the interior is a little nicer.

The exhaust tips in that top video appear larger than those fitted to the system on the Portogallo 1974 Grey Abarth in a video posted elsewhere. They also look to be more neatly centred in the cutout.
