BEVERLY HILLS, California — The 2017 Fiat 124 Spider convertible, which shares a rear-wheel-drive platform with the redesigned 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata, will arrive at Fiat dealerships in 2016 after a debut later this year.

The 2017 Fiat 124 Spider is expected to debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Auto Show or the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show, industry sources told Edmunds.

So September or November. That is a pretty reasonable amount of time. I am surprised that we haven't seen a mule roaming around anywhere yet though. Makes you wonder...

So I came upon this article today that suggests the 124 Spider will be debuting at the LA Auto Show in November.

The same article tells us that te Fiat will feature an entirely different exterior design, and the interior will only borrow a few bits and pieces from its Japanese sibling.

The LA Auto Show press day is on November 17th, so that should be the day that we get the big reveal.

Strange how they got LA when the original said LA or Frankfurt.

I think that means they are expecting it to be a big seller in the US so an LA debut would make sense.
