That forum has become sort of a joke in the Fiat community for having a ton of misinformation and bias. The fact that 7 people over there have already said they don't want our version of the Abarth to have the full 170hp, the Abarth badges or the Record Monza exhaust should tell you something.

Lol, I At least they have conviction. Someone said the US 124 is tuned to be more powerful than the abarth but also claim that they have no evidence.

I'd go with the Abarth.

But I did say I wouldn't pay for it. I have no need for more power, badges or a loud exhaust. I want a more refined Grand Touring Roadster, the 124 will be a perfect fit.

I understand why you want the 124 vs. the E. Abarth. It makes perfect sense and those are exactly the reasons I think someone should buy the 124 over the E. Abarth.

My point was, that for an ABARTH customer to vote for 160 instead of 170hp, no record Monza exhaust and so on seems pretty silly. My other point is that the blue forum is by far the worst fiat forum on the net.

Some people I know that weren't well informed on the Miata's past are planning to go Miata instead of 124, all in hopes of modifying it to their liking, styling of the Miata has appeal more to these people as well.
