Full Engine and Transmission Swap

3850 Views 9 Replies 8 Participants Last post by  alltimesaresoon
Starting the process of removing my engine and transmission for my swap and was wanting to get the ball rolling to see if anyone would be interested in the full swap.

I have quite a few Eurocompulsion bolt ons as well as the stage 3 tune. The engine and trans have 10k miles on it and I am the original owner. I will be posting pictures in here once the unit is sitting on the pallet ready for shipping. I would also be willing to deliver it depending on location and timing. Asking price is $4,000 obo for everything. That's for the engine, transmission, all the Eurocompulsion bolt ons, as well as the custom crosspipe from Goodwin Racing ( I could also throw in the custom exhaust that brings it all together) . As of right now I have no interest in parting it out. The only part I have separate is a Forge BOV which I am open to offers on.

Stay posted for photos!

What engine are you swapping in?

And you’re getting rid of engine (long block with all accessories like turbo, intake and exhaust manifold, AC, alternator), transmission, ecu... Does this include the Eurocompulsion Intercooler Too?

So theoretically, the buyer should just be able to drop the engine and transmission in and be Eurocompulsion stage 3?
AND.....What pray are you going to put in it's place ? as it would be interesting to know what total transmission slots in, or.....Are we talking "write Off", "Totalled", 124 Spider ? just so that any folk interested can ask about / see accident reports, damage / shock sustained .........Cheers

You would be quite correct! If you were to drop the whole thing in you would be Stage 3. It comes with with the intercooler, piping, catch can, turbo blanket, tuner, stage 3 tune, upgraded plugs, coil packs, Forge BOV, and I think that might be it but I would have to check. The car has been sitting around in the garage for quite some time not being driven while I collect parts for the swap. I was considering keeping the drivetrain around to use for a buggy build but it's too modern and would only be headache.

I'm the original owner and it was supposed to be just for the track but I'm needing more speed. Car has been sitting in the garage for the last year basically. Since I have an engine sitting around that I built a couple of years back to handle 1,000hp I figured what the heck, it's the same size, time to make a move. I won't be revealing what i'll be dropping in just yet but it's unconventional for the platform. For the transmission though i'll be cramming in a T56 Magnum. We can thank Flyin Miata for doing the legwork on that end with their v8 conversions. But v8s aren't my deal so I won't be going that route.

Would be interesting to see spider with swapped engine... And just over the Jordan lake from me))
adding up cost of phase 1, phase 2, phase 3, intercooler, 1446+, crosspipe, etc in my head...... more than $4000
Finally bro so happy it’s coming together !!!!! Can’t wait
