Welcome from Wales. Yours is the colour combination I would have gone for if I hadn't opted for the Anniversary edition.
The UK numbers are slowly increasing. Keep posting.

Hi Danny:
I understand the Anniversary Edition sold out Quick ! I'm a bit confused about the "Prima Edizione Lusso", which allegedly comprised the first 124 off the production line and all in Italia blue, and then they threw the paint can away, so how did mine slip through ? (But I may have got elements of that story wrong !)
Peter
P.S.: I was in the Brecon Beacons last week, but before I collected the Spider !

Hi Peter, 4 weeks ago I knew nothing about Fiat let alone the 124 Spider - now I understand some of the background.
First there are multiple Anniversary Editions of 124 cars - US Blue, Canada Bronze, UK Pasionne Red, Mainland Europe also Pasionne Red.

I noticed on this site the photo of the Paris Show car is a limted edition America, so I think Fiat will have a few more 'limited editions' to come.

The European Abarths have a limited edition badge for the first 2500 cars.

The master plan for launching the car and subsequent rollout seems to have gone 'pear shaped'. US gets the spider first June . UK gets anniversary soon after ( no) then gets the official launch early Sept and Abarth versions then arrive 2 weeks later but not many in the US. UK get all the extras from day 1 but still hard to get in the US.

Big publicity launch in the UK for Tipo - seen lots of ads on TV and Spider seen 1. My local dealer has sold 1 Tipo and 4 Spiders in the same 2 week period.

But others may have a different insight.

It's a cracking car. I bought my car without a test drive, only seen on the back of the transporter as a cancelled order.

Thanks for the "clarification", I think someone once said "clear as mud" ! Whatever -- like you say, great car and as near as I could get to replace my late lamented Honda S2000 (and now I'm older and wiser the manic Vtec engine has lost some of its appeal).

Peter up to 4 weeks ago I was looking at either a S2000, a Morgan or Lotus Elise. My wife finally told me even if I thought I was still 20, she wasn't and wanted a bit more comfort but not the BMW, Audi or Porsche offerings - all have to firm suspension for our local roads. So far ( 165 miles - I know!) we both like the 124.
