Heritage Wrap on Gelato White Today (pics)

I had my Gelato white Abarth wrapped today in matte black. Fiat wants $2,000 for the Heritage paint, and this wrap set me back only $600. Also, I didn't want to wait for months while Fiat/Mopar gets their act together regarding the delivery of this option in the U.S. I'm very impressed with the results.

A couple of notes: 1. The satellite shark fin has to be removed and wrapped independently. Access and removal was easy via the inner trunk liner. The 11 grommets remove in seconds using your fingernail. I was with the shop guy when we did this. 2. The chrome "124 Spider" badge had to be removed for the wrap, as it's just too intricate to cut around. I'll just order a new one, as removal really messes up the existing adhesive. Very minor. They didn't need to touch the Abarth badges.

Looks great, did you add the red lip? are you going to do the red side mirrors?

Yes, I have the red mirrors in a box (from a local Fiat dealer) and the lip is in shipment from the U.K. The same supplier says he will getting the little round tow hook cover at some point, hopefully soon. I just ordered red 6-piston Wilwood brakes yesterday. I'll have everything installed at once, and then voila!
Looks great. We are still in a quandary over whether to do it (the wrap). We intended to and then liked the car as delivered without it.

I hear you. The car looks stunning either way. Had I not wanted the Heritage look I would have gone with the metallic Perla white instead of the Gelato white. The Gelato non-metallic paint is better for the base tone of the black matte and red accents, which a forum member pointed out to me. I'm 100% glad I had the wrap done today.

Actually I visited a dealer today who said they can order 124s with any options. First I heard that.
