Just wanted to say hello to everyone. Looks like there isn't much activity here yet but hopefully once the 124's start rolling off the boats things will pick up.

I've got my car picked out but will likely wait until 2017 to make any purchase. I'm sure there will be a few bugs to work out, but with the car being assembled in Hiroshima, there shouldn't be too many. I've owned a Protege and Protege5 built in that factory and they were pretty darn reliable.

The plan right now is to get the Classica in red with the manual. Nothing more. It will be a "summer only" car and I'll continue to drive my Fiesta in the winters.

Welcome to the forums ! But I definitely do believe as well that the forums will pick up as soon as more people get their hands on them.

But the classica in red with the manual sounds like a beautiful vehicle for the summer. I'm sure you'll definitely enjoy it. Where abouts are you located ??

There isn't much activity on this forum yet, but I think there will be. The forum is well laid out and everything here works. We are just waiting for the cars.

I like the idea of a red car with a manual and no options. It keeps the price, and the weight down. I also want a car with zero options, but that's partially because of modification plans. I don't want to spend 1400 bucks on Brembos I will be removing.

Thanks Greg - I've read some of your posts and see you're quite familiar with the 1.4 Multiair. That's definitely going to be a benefit.

I assume because they didn't put a unit cap for the 124 spider, you should be able to get one even after waiting a bit before ordering one. Only problem I can think of is that you may need to wait a bit longer before getting your order since they have others to fill first.

If it wasn't for the Mazda partnership I bet they would have a cap. Fortunately the Miata is a vehicle that will again have a long production time frame. I'm guessing at least 8 years? Might be safe to say we can expect the same from the Miata.

124 production depends on Miata production, as long as the Miata exists, the 124 will.
