I am getting a high-pitch 'whine' when >4.5k RPM, from second gear on up, with pitch and volume being constant. This is repeatable when accelerating hard. On the risk of incurring amused smiles from the experienced folks on the forum, is this normal? I am running the EC v4 intake and GFB DV, in case it matters.

Thx, S

You are probably hearing the turbo. It sounds awesome.

I have the same setup, the sound is from the turbo and you can hear it because of the V4... also the DV+ will cause a nice pffss sound when you let off the throttle at high revs if you used the extra spring.

Once you start to learn which other cars have turbo and drive alongside them then you'll really pick up on whats normal about this, has my first experience with an Acura RDX, at slow speeds you could easily hear the BOV. Pretty cool for a stock car I might add.
