To be accurate (by Jay's own statement on the Today Show this AM), Fiat Chrysler gave the car and also paid all taxes and fees. To be fair, Jay Leno made the request and arranged the presentation. He's always been a big supporter of veterans.

Misleading article, made it seem like Jay Leno paid for everything and then gifted it to the veteran. But then again, we may not see the same outcome if some average person requested the same from Fiat Chrysler.

Actually, in the video Jay states quite clearly that Fiat paid for the car, taxes and all, including outfitting for her until she gets her prosthetic leg.

I can't imagine her wheelchair fitting in the trunk though. I had one of those Coleman camping chairs with the folding table on the side and it wouldn't fit.
