I mentioned a while ago in a different thread that my issue is girth not height. I did visit a dealership and found that the cabin was a tight fit that would make steering challenging.
Well, when I was much younger, I dated a girl that I met at the department store at which we worked. I had a pickup truck with an automatic transmission and she had a blue metallic Fiat X1/9 with a manual transmission. The Fiat was better suited for dates, so we would take her car, but I didn't know how to drive a manual and it was awkward for both of us. One night, before leaving work for a date, she taught me how to drive stick in the near empty parking lot. That small Italian car was an absolute blast and from then on, I would drive when we went out and everything was right with the world.
The car pictured is identical to the one that I enjoyed those many years ago and it's still the most fun vehicle I've driven.
So here I am almost 30 years later, no longer able to fit in such a compact vehicle. All is not lost though, as I'm now learning a new method of driving, on an Italian machine once again. I recently purchased my first motorcycle and it's a Moto Guzzi V7 III in Azzurro Elettrico. It certainly has brought back some fond memories and fills the void of not being able to own a modern 124. The picture is my motorcycle at the dealership.
