Has anyone been able to compare the two at night? I want to know if there is a significant difference in the type of light output with the LED headlights vs the standard headlights.

What I've read is that LED headlamps aren't much different in light output per se. Their advantages are in using a bit less power and being easier to aim without elaborate lenses. Rather than being a single bulb whose light needs to be dispersed, LEDs are dozens of points that can be aimed independently.

They don't make that much difference on their own, but they allow the adaptive system where they can be directed around a bend as you turn rather than straight ahead all the time. That's their real advantage.

They are also less susceptible to bumps and jolts and will last as long as your car.

I got a fully loaded lusso with LED lights and it's amazing compared to the classica I drove with the halogens

The self-leveling aspect of the LEDs is nice as well.

Weak lights

I've just driven home in the dark in my Lusso. Sad to say but the headlights are puny, low beam is like one of the lights is out, and switching to high beam isn't much better. I shall return to the dealership and enquire about an upgrade to LED's as on the Lusso Plus, but I anticipate that being expensive.

If anyone has upgraded their Lusso to LED lights please post where you got them installed, how you like them and about what the cost was for the upgrade. I have not driven yet in the dark but will be doing so on the 12 of this month a long night drive of about 7 hours. I will post my thoughts when I can about the lighting on my vehicle.

Aren't the Head Lights HID, they have the round housing. Or round housing with Halogen, to make us believe they're HID.

If, so just add a HID kit, less than $100.00

I can confirm that the LED headlights are really, seriously bright. Brightest, whitest light I've seen on any car I've owned. Adaptive feature is pretty cool, too. I would recommend the Premium package just for the headlights.

I can't help but wonder how those $100 HID kits compare to the factory LED lights.

$100 vs $5000. they come with the premium package. **** of a price.>:)

I had one on my motorcycle and it cleared much more than the halogen and 35w v 50w halogen.

Just drove 13 hrs to California mostly at night. Headlights are fine so I will not do any changes. I did notice the fog lights are not as useful as I would like but at least they are there. Trip was very comfortable and I averaged 33.5 MPG on this trip. No complaints
