I can't get the locking/unlocking beep to sound. The owners book gives instructions on how to use the key fob to vary the volume of the beep (if it is activated) but not how to activate it in the first place.

I would appreciate any advice

P.s I was luck enough to get the Prima Edizione No. 001

The sounds are under the settings menu. (Not in the car at the moment but I think it's under safety.) You can also control the turn signal sound and some others.

I'm curious also; could be the setting kpoling is talking about is only with the Lusso with upgraded sound system. The turn signal in my Classica can't even be heard at all, wish it was louder.

Note that you can't get into those settings unless your ignition is ON; ACC position won't work.

Thank you for your inputs. I think I've worked out the problem. The beep only happens with the "advanced keyless entry system". I have the ordinary keyless fob. Strange - because all my previous cars confirmed their locked/unlocked status with a beep.

I kind of expected that. Probably the same reason I can't get my turn signal click to be any louder.

i just wonder if you can have these setting adjusted at the dealer. My 2011 dodge dakota had a bunch of options that were adjustable, just not by me. the dealership tech brought the computers up on their scan tool and we discussed the various setting and adjusted what i wanted on like, daytime running lights and healights auto on when wipers on. just a thought and maybe not.

Thank you for that. I think I will check with the dealer as the lack of a confirmatory beep seems odd in this day and age.

There are programmers that will let you tweak everything a tech can, I'm sure its only a matter of time before one is released for the 124, since it does have a different ECU than the ND.
