Yes, there s one, just don t put the antenna on, it will work but not in far distance.:D

You don’t care for using the radio in the boondocks then? The stubby is low performance. OEM is a gain antenna . . .

In town and certain distance, the stubby antenna seems to be ok, I have not tested far from the city. But will. I bought the stubby antenna from a member on facebook for $12. US

I agree, the OEM antenna is superior to the Stubby or similar products. I have a Stubby imitator, which works just fine in my urban area, but I would use the OEM for a road trip. Do not discard the OEM antenna.
