I ordered a Manual Lusso with comfort package. But I would like the sound to be a bit more louder on the Lusso. I like the Red with tan seats which the Abarth come with black seats and must be hot in summer. My dealer is getting the Abarth in 2 weeks.

Question: Do I get the Lusso, delete the muffler and and and maybe add the Euro light module.

Or
Abarth and no Euro light module.

A 30 extra HP would be good, I wonder if the Euro Extra light might make a module with 25HP.

Your ideas are welcome by the way I am 67, but still have the heart and mind of a middle age man. >:)>:)

which do you prefer more the look for the front end of lusso or the abarth, which wheels do u like more. is there something else about the abarth you would want over the lusso. my reasoning ended up being that i could not justify 4k more and the biggest reason i like were more cosmetic. if i had been able to test drive them both right before purchase and could have felt the power difference i likely would have bought the abarth. but since i couldn't i settled for lusso

If I choose the red seats, tHe Premium package kicks in,

The Abarth comes about $2k more. I think I'll stick to the Lusso.

Who knows maybe some time down the road early next year we might see some supercharger kits come out. Although some might be nervous in getting this done it will be a great way to increase power... but at the same time void your warranty. You just can't beat the streamlined power coming from an SC!

I don't think you are going to see that anytime soon. A bigger turbo, sure, but not likely a supercharger.

Rode in an Abarth the other day. Aside from better sound and power, it handles much better too. Body roll is so small that it almost feels like the car corners horizontally. Can't say the same for the lower trims. If you care about handling, Abarth would be worth it as it would cost much more to get aftermarket shocks, sway bars, stiffening braces, etc. to achieve the same handling with a Lusso.

$2k difference? The Abarth would be a no brainer surely.

I recall reading an article many years ago where Possum Bourne claimed most people actually ruin the handling of their vehicles by fitting mismatched aftermarket suspension products. If memory serves he drove an AWD Lancer modified with top name suspension products fitted against the stock car, and was able to achieve better laps times in the stocker!

I'll try and dig up the article.

People always go for lower and stiffer. Great on the track. Not necessarily the best formula when the surface is less than perfect and not always the best formula in the wet.

Just a little correction the Abarth was $2k more EXCLUDING PREMIUM PACKAGE, but with negotiation I could bring it to $1,200 and no RED SEATS.

I like the TAN seats, cooler in the summer, yes I like a little more power under the hood to piss off some Abarth spiders and of course a little more sound off the exhaust, not to hear my passanger. LOL>:)
