On Friday passed the 5 year MOT with no advisories. Lusso Plus with 7,500 miles. 5 years service was mainly engine & transmission oil change. Next year's service includes the drive/auxilliary belts which thankfully will be included in the Fiat service plan. Dealer mentioned that next year's service without the service plan would probably have been about £1k.

I had 5 year service too (as stated engine oil, oil filter and gearbox oil) at 42,325 miles.

Yes, year 6 is "The Big One".....
Engine oil, oil filter, differential oil, brake fluid, spark plugs, air filter, timing belt, auxillary belt.

I too have the Fiat 3 year service plan £499 (for year 5,6 &7..... or £166 per year) so all costs are covered...... otherwise the price for year 6 service would be £985 !!!!!

I'll also have the water pump replaced at £45 for the parts only (as most of the labour to replace it Is done when the timing belt is changed).

In addition, when carried out by Fiat Dealer (UK), all service work is guaranteed for 2 years parts and labour.

I purchased service plan as 3 years when bought the car new & then a further 3 years after reading previous threads from you & others. Option to purchase the service plan extension is still available upto the car's 5th birthday. Even though the car has low mileage I'll also do the preventative water pump change.

I bought the car when it was 5 years old last year, next service is due at the end of the month… oh dear 🥺
Mine goes back in tomorrow for the brakes to be fixed and the retest, going to be an expensive month!

I thought gear box AND differential oil was to be changed at 5-years / 45k miles.

Any hoo - I got both mine done at 5-years and what a difference to the gearbox with the new oil!

The old stuff musta been like treacle when it came out. Si said there were a lot of particles on the magnetic sump plug - so either my bad gear change technique or a lot of overage on the synchromesh gear tolerances 😊
