Navigation SD Card 124 spider for SALE

I called a couple Fiat dealers and Mazda and they weren't too much aware of the Navigation SD card.
Can someone tell me, the SD card fits which Cars, beside 124 spider.
Also how much does it go for. would appreciate very much. tia

In the Fiat line it only fits the Spider, because the other cars use a different system. For Mazda, I believe the 2016 3, 6 and MX5 use the Connect 7.0 system. I've seen posted elsewhere that the SD card sells for $300 from the dealer. I think the map upgrades are free for our cars with Nav. and my understanding is that there is already an update for the maps with a newer version.

It's technically for the European version, but works with American ones as well.

Anyone know if the Mazda MX-5 SD card works in the FIAT? My understanding is the Infortainment systems are identical.

I downloaded it and tells me that there's a new version 1, then tells me to insure sd card, do I insert original or an empty one. tia

According to EBAY, a card for the Mazda, SCION, has the exact same model number. It appears Mazda, Scion cards must work in the FIAT. Some of these can be had for <$100 Anyone know for sure?

When I upgraded mine it was all on the original card. I also made a complete backup of it before I did anything just to be safe.

copying the sd card on a folder is it the same a copying with toolbox. Cause the one in the car I copy folder to my pc.

how many updates are we allowed with Fiat.

Also on the SD card it says REV 3 when I ran european tool box it told me update 1 so which is the latest one. tia

it seems so odd to me that we still do not have this software. it is the same software as that Mazda has just with different branding and it is already up and running for the EU. wonder why the hold up over here?

The toolbox is the same, basically, just branded with Fiat. If I can find the link Fiat sent me - ages ago in an email but I get a LOT of emails - I'll see if the tool now can do backups/updates.

kpoling: thanks for the info. i am not in a rush to do mine as due to pending white fluffy stuff my car is in storage. i just think that it is silly that 5 months after the release of the car they still don't have the toolbox working when it is just making a few changes to coding that is already done in other markets and other brands.

I was probably the first one to try a Mazda Nav card in the Fiat, and it didn't work at that time, so I returned it. That is why I state that the Mazda card doesn't work in the Fiat in my blog. It could be that the card was actually used or bad though, rather than incompatible. I'll never know. If anyone finds out for sure that a Mazda card can be purchased and will work in the Fiat, I'll update my blog accordingly.

Regarding the U.S. Fiat Connect site, I just tried it today and it still isn't running in reference to the Toolbox and map updates. I'm glad I discovered the European site The Mazda Toolbox would not update my Fiat SD card, so there must be a VIN check in place.

One more thing: restoring the card using the Toolbox is different than copying the card. My SD copy of the card didn't work until I ran through the update process using Fiat Toolbox.

A vendor of the Mazda card has offered to send me one to try in my new Abarth. I should know early next week. I let you know the outcome so you can update the blog.

I hope you duplicate it!

I wouldn't offer more than $30 for it. A high price for this is absurd considering the size of the potential market, and the profit margin. If (or as soon as ) someone in China gets it they'll be $10 on eBay.

I got my Mazda version of maps today. Rev E which is the latest for Mazda. I got the "Invalid SD card" message with the compass once I booted up and accessed navigation. This means Mazda maps will not work in the FIAT.

Since the part number in the original post is the same as the part number for the SCION iA, I am going to try one of those SD cards next. I will let you know.
