Navigation SD card for $225

As some of you know, I have been working with an EBAY vendor to offer a FIAT version of the SD Navigation card at a reasonable price. After a couple of false starts, the supplier has come up with a version that works! Be aware, the weather is horrible here, and I have not taken the car out of the garage for full testing, but I successfully installed it and got through many of the features. I am convinced it works, but obviously, I can't guarantee it. The link to his ebay listing is included in this note, but before I post it,the seller, a person I only know as narinjinnamkk0, has been honest and supportive in the quest to come up alternative solution to FIAT's offer. I can offer my full endorsement of his fairness in his dealings. Now here is the EBAY link to his posting This would make a great Christmas present for your spider.

P.S. These are U.S. and Canada maps. Cheers!

did want to point out that you would have had to update the maps with the official Fiat of EU or UK website and not the official Fiat US website as they still 8 months after cars started to be sold in the US
You are correct and I should have mentioned it. Thank you for pointing that out.
Has anyone else had trouble with this card? Mine has been working fine until yesterday morning when it would not load. I then tried doing an update and it got about half way (53% loaded) and then crashed. Now the computer won't even recognize the card. I tried contacting the vendor but so far no reply.
Evospider, sorry to hear about your problem but it's also a good reminder that everyone should copy their SD card to a folder on their computer. That way you can easily copy to another SD card as a backup. It takes only seconds to do so. That being said, I've noticed every once in a while, the nav system refuses to load...it's happened to me several times in 9 months. Once I showed it to the dealer, who took another card out of stock to try. It didn't work either. As someone who runs a large radio network, I'm used to troubleshooting odd electronic behavior. In my case, the issue wasn't the card at all, but rather that the infotainment system didn't complete launching because it was waiting on Bluetooth communications. After a long timeout period, the system restarted and the nav also worked fine. In the last 3 months, the issue has not reoccured, I think for two reasons. One is exercising the card in the slot every once in awhile to clean the contacts. The other was changing phones. The system had Bluetooth issues with my old phone that occasionally locked it up (in other modes also besides nav) which also occurred during the first few minutes after startup. It has yet to happen since I replaced the phone. Hope you are able to sort it out.

Hey if you are looking for good roads, select "Short" for the route to your destination and don't allow highways and toll roads. The Nav system found me cool roads I had never been on even in areas where I have ridden many, many times.

Picked one up from Texas OEM Direct on ebay, which arrived today and I simply inserted it, automatically loaded and behold, Navigation! Ebay seller is great, quick shipping, etc.
I bought a card from navigate.llc on ebay for $130. The card arrived and looked suspicious because it said Scion on it. I inserted it and ...nothing happened. I do have some tweaks installed for the infotainment system and I did remove the USB/SD Card module and reinstalled it prior to trying the nav card. I tore the console apart again to be sure I had the connectors in secure. (they were).

The seller sent another card, very responsible, very quick responses, even offered a refund. I installed that card and had the exact same response, nothing but a stuck compass screen. A little bummed and not wanting to admit defeat and send the card back I just procrastinated....and then one day it came alive! Swanky!
I also ordered from Texas OEM direct. Fast shipper!!

I inserted the card and only had ACC on. I sat in park while watching the navigation status as the GPS searched for satellites.
There is a REALLY cool visual showing number of satellites, a gauge for each one, their lock status and their sky position(?).

I was worried because there was no lock after 10 minutes, but after being patient and setting other radio settings, the
locks finally came in.

So far i have only once had the same issue unfortunately it was when out of town on a trip and I really needed it. Tried restarting the car several times and popping the card out a couple times, but it never came back and i had to use my phone to get home.

Plus 1 on the Texas Direct card off of ebay. Inserted it, and it came right up. Thanks to all for the tip on this. A great deal.
Bought my SD card from Amazon, $99.95. It took 17 seconds to load and I now have nav.

10 minutes is not unusual for a GPS system doing a completely cold start to establish a firm position. Subsequent startups should be much faster.

Yes, they have been. This reminds me of other standalone units that take a bit of time the first time and only
the first time. Now, by the time I start the car and access the GPS, it is ready.
