I do remember this and some other clutch adjustments from NC ownership, but the 124 feels pretty good to me as is.

That adjustment procedure was for the 3/4 pop-out problem that was more common with the first version of the the NC transmission ('06-'07; the 124 has the third iteration NC transmission). Not to say it's not useful info, but subsequent versions have rarely had this issue.

The adjustment doesn't affect the 1/2 notchiness-when-cold issue that many NC transmissions have - including the 124. That problem is a materials composite issue and was partially solved by gear tooth surface coatings added to the second version in 2009. The only other solution I'm aware of is a good synchromesh fluid like the magic Ford XT-unicorn tears, formulated by Fuchs.
