I picked up a 2.5yr old Abarth 124 last month: 9000 miles, beautiful condition. Wow, what an absolute joy she is. I look forward to every ride, even to work. Does anyone else feel this car is a secret they don't want to share? Sure, she's an automatic, but round town that's just fine and when I want to stretch her legs I use manual and the paddles.
Anyway, that aside, the only negative is the wind noise/whistle at my ear from the roof above 40mph. Is this something many experience, and simply a common issue with most soft tops and something I'll have to get used to? Or something the warranty may be able to deal with even - it has a few months left. Ive tried attending to seals and rubber, but no change.

I assumed that the top was down.... if not, then put the top down 😆👍👍👍
Well, he said he is getting whistle at ear level from the roof, so... If the top is down, then he needs to pull his head back from behind the seats:LOL:

Top up, my Spider is quieter than my GTI. Of course with the GTI it is mostly tire noise. I have a little top up noise from the passenger side, but not bad. Usually the top is down.

Yes, there is some wind noise with the top up. There is also some wind noise with the top down, however it is less than most convertibles. One solution is turn up the radio.

I love my 124 Abarth and the purity of its true roadster characteristics, which include all its noises, top up or down.
There are times however when the noise is too much so in order to enjoy a much quieter convertible ride I purchased a 2020 rolls royce phantom convertible for $500,000. This option is available to you if you wish a quieter convertible ride.

I also have a Rolls Royce, but my chauffeur usually drives it.

Oh make no mistake, it doesnt overly bother me - the roof on my last convertible used to flap when it was up. Just wondered if 2018 tech had sorted the seals completely. Obviously not. Thanks for the offer on the Phantom by the way, but its fine - I use one to keep my chickens in.(y)
