On my ABARTH I purchased these 315MHz TPMS SENSORS
View attachment 85425
I installed them on the new wheels then had the tires mounted.
Bolted the wheels on, started the car, and the car recognized them with no problem or programing.
$79.95 for a set of four.
Great news! I wonder how the system recognizes them without having the discrete serial number? Master key concept?

No idea. The manufacturer claims they are preprogrammed for Japanese cars. I used them and they worked. If they hadn't worked I might have dug deeper into the technical details, but fortunately didn't have to.

I know the guy who mounted the tires didn't change anything because I asked him to verify the car recognized the TPMS. He said he couldn't because his TPMS scanner did not work with these sensors. So they worked out of the box.
