My lusso has a flashing light on the dash for the alarm. Did you get the luxury package? The alarm comes on the Abarth as part of a package.
No blinking little light to indicate alarm is on.
In my Murano, when I close the doors with the FOB, a small red light blinks indicating the car is protected or alarm is on. But the Abarth, once doors are closed with FOB I see no blinking little light.
Is this normal.

Thanks how do expect people with bad intensions to see the vehicle is protected.It is close to the center of the tach, under the 6. Red icon, looks like a padlock. Pic attached. Flashes every couple of seconds.
After they get in and try to start it of course 
By that point it would probably have the horn honking away. It's pretty bright at night at night. With the top down it's easy to see. Although the owners manual says the top is supposed to be up to arm the alarm, it does flash with the top down.
I went and look, and saw a small light blinking in the tack. But you don't want the people to break in and find out, you want to warn them.
