Hmm I do like the first one. But I’m a huge fan of the original option from fiat, despite cost. There’s a used one on eBay for sale but they’re asking for over £700!!!
What is the difference between the OEM rack and the black one from Cabrio Supply? To my eye they look the same. Maybe I'm biased because I bought that one from Cabrio and have used it on month long trips and like it. Removed it after getting home and no evidence it was ever installed.

Not very much! It looks very good. I just like the look of the OEM with the 124 spider logo and the silver with hint of black. But it is certainly a good back up option if I struggle. For me it won’t be used much at all, probably on a twice yearly road trip or something mostly. Primarily it’s just for looks, I think it’ll be a truely lovely match up with my soon to be 124.

Teasing me, it looks so good! Problem is just difficult to come across. I think I may just have to be patient.OEM is aluminum (vs stainless steel), looks better, but is $300 more.

On a separate note, thank you for all your work and sharing your expertise across the board. I shall be applying carplay and tweaks to my 124 shortly after it arrives

Nope, not in the UK at least. Very little in the grand scheme of things are still available to be honest

I contacted a local dealership. And they said they could order one for a crazy price. I asked for a discount, and the fiat regional manager approved one, but still not enough. They suggested getting in touch with this other fiat dealer (but different company completely) and they were able to supply a brand new one for a relatively great price. Very kind of them considering they were losing revenue to offer somewhere else that could help out with a better price. Maybe get in touch with your local dealer?

I'd bet my left nut, maybe even both nuts since I'm done having kids and pretty much just have Donald Duck roll them around sessions, that they weren't losing much. 😁
I have an original Fiat boot rack in London for the modern 124 Spider if you want to make me an offer. The clamp for 1 of the 3 support feet is missing but otherwise it's in good condition.

I have to admit the OEM rack looks quite nice. But, the Cabrio Supply rack has some nice features that I like and use: little loops to locate the tie-downs. And the rack also clears the shark fin antenna. And the racks that clear the antenna look off when empty, so mine is on the shelf unless I'm on a trip and need the luggage space.

Thanks for the offer mate, but a dealership offered me a relatively good price on a brand new one that someone ordered and never collected! Keep it on there, it’s even more beautiful with it on!

They’re much more reasonably priced, but I just absolutely adore the look of the OEM! It is now fitted and love it. The look of the cabrio supply looks like they’d match a Mx5s style particularly well.
This is the only picture I have of it since putting it on, and it’s when my parking brake failed whilst on my drive (steep hill) and took the wall with it. Only scratches/scrapes to the plastic bumpers, I got away very lucky I should think. Must have hit at some good speed, knocked the brick wall down. Also lucky it rolled it hit the wall rather than sitting in the road a blind hill bend, or taking out a pedestrian. Never forgetting to leaving it in gear now!!!
