Hi. I am trying to figure out how many miles between oil changes to expect. The Connect 7.0 App only shows a greyed-out "Flexible" status, and it does not show the "Oil Life %" discussed in the Owner's Manual. Do you get more information than I do, or do we simply have to wait for the "Oil Change Due!" to show up somewhere?

Related topic...I usually do the first oil change sooner than later. Any consensus here when to get those little shiny bits out of the engine? And would love to see info on best way to get the change done. Don't mind paying someone to do it, but like to do the first one myself to see how things work under there. Did a little googling and couldn't find anything showing the best approach to the drain and filter change.

Thanks,

Mark

I'm planning on changing the oil at about 600 miles. I'm only at 300 right now, so it will have to wait another week.

Question is, after changing the oil, is there any way to reset the oil change indicator or system?

Forget that last question. I just saw Greg's description of how to do that on EuroCompulsion's tech article page here.
Thanks for posting the link. Read through the various articles and that is some very helpful information. Great reading...and thank you Greg!

I am at 4200 miles and over 8 months with still not warning that it is time to change the oil. Does the process of flashing Euro+Drive reset this?
Also, if I change the oil before the light comes on, can I still reset the counter using the accelerator pedal method? How will I know if I am successful (Classica)?

I was about 5,300 when mine came on. Dummy me thought it was a CEL until the good folks here educated me. I reset mine through the infotainment system. First OC was about 2,600. All looked great and filter had next to nothing.

Can you refer me to what page in the owners manual says how to reset through the infotainment system? I changed my oil at 2600 miles and I depressed the gas pedal 3 times as the manual instructs. I didn't see any confirmation that the system reset so I'm waiting to see when the change oil warning comes on. After initial oil change at 2600 miles I plan on changing every 4 or 5000 miles so I don't really care when the light comes on. I just want to be able to turn it off.

I stumbled around in the on screen menus and found it. Next time I get the car out I’ll try to be more specific.

They say you should NOT change the break in oil that soon... go at least 3000 miles... That's what a Mechanic told me...
