Pogea is now offering their Stage1 tune in the US. The lokal partner is the 124spider specialist AutoRicambi. Stage1 is just the first step. ;)

Might I ask who your partner in Texas is? Is it Joe from Dynotronics? New Braunfels, TX
I´m not from Pogea ;)

But this is the US-subsidiary/partner from PogeaRacing

It's not available yet, but probably will be soon. I hate to be a stickler for accuracy, but the post actually says "After we will receive all data from this car we will approve the Multiair Tuning" It does not say it is now being offered in the US.

I can say with certainty that Csaba and Ramzi at AutoRicambi are good guys. I am sure they are making sure everything is A-OK before releasing it.

Not the 124spider but it shows what is possible with a small 1.4l FCA Engine.

The performance curve doesn't look that it is a daily driver ;)

Those are some crazy figures! >:)

I can't say I'd like it as a daily driver either, far too peaky.
You are right, Greg.
The tune for the US-Model is not officially on the market but you can already get it.
The reason is, that every good vendor should test their products well.
At least 3 month on the road and in real life.
In Germany, you stress the engine much more with long runs on the Autobahn at higher speed.
The heat becomes to an important factor and you should always keep an eye on the cooling and the ECU engine protection mechanism. That´s why so many tuner prefer direct flashing the ECU, so they can adjust all parameters und prevent an engine collapse.
The US-Tune is based on the EU version, but in Germany we use a different fuel quality. 95ROZ, 98ROZ and more. So Pogea had to adjust their tune for the US fuel and usage. (less fuel quality but also less engine load)
Pogea also has access direct into the FCA ECU so they can flash the ECU directly.

I´m in the lucky situation that I live in Austria (not Australia ;) ) and all 3 well known German Abarth Tuner are located in south Germany. I can reach everyone of them within 2h.

The same things could be said about the Eurocompulsion flash tune. It's in testing as well and we certainly have direct access into the ECU.

We do have different issues in the US, our fuel and conditions are different. You think the heat on a German Autobahn is a problem? Imagine driving on the freeways in Texas when it's 115F outside. The speed limits range from 75mph to 85mph and everyone is going well over 90 or even 100. That tests your car to see how well it handles heat. Thankfully, heat during highway conditions isn't much of a problem, these engines have a great cooling system. The biggest threat from heat is when you are going slow on a really hot day everything gets heat soaked and then you give the engine full boost.

South Italy, Spain, Greece I think it´s hot enough in Europe to compare ;)
Belive me, the load on the Autobahn is much higher then a hot summer and traffic jam.

You may know the famous JB4 boxes for BMW and many other car manufacturers?
They work fantastic in the US, but you get massive heat problems with your BMW 335i after some minutes travelling with more then 150mph.

Same was with the MX5 ND OV Tune which comes with the expensive GoodWinRacing Long tube header.
In 4. and 5. gear, there was no Power and the car has problem to achieve his top speed. The tune also doesn´t achieve on the dyno what was claimed by the vendor.

If the fuel has low quality, it is hot or you stree the engine much, the engine protection reduces ignition timing.
Such a tune should always be prepaired for the local conditions.

That is why i prefer to get an individual tune.
I will replace some hardware and then visit MazzaEngineering. On the dyno an existing tune will be adopted to the modified car and after the dyno shows a good result the second part starts. Fine tuning on the road. The engineer sits on the passenger seat with his laptop. He watches all critical engine parameters and adjust them to your personal preferences.
This package costs more, but you also get a lot more.

Maybe a game changer arrived today at the PogeaRacing headquarter in Germany.

US 124Abarth Automatic

Now, they can develop a complete program for the automatics and also improve the tunes, gearbox mods, setups and parts for the US market.

That should be quite interesting for all US customers.

I have never done business with Pogea, but maybe I will. I really like how they push the FCA brand forward.

Fuel is EU SuperPlus 98Oct. (ROZ) like US Premium.
Garantee means that they pay if the tune damage the engine or drivetrain.
and the next big thing.
Pogea is working on a LB240M Kit for Multiar engines. As the LB200 Kit for the 500 it will include a bigger turbo, Downpipe with cat, fuel injectors... and OBD flash tool and will provide about 235hp (+75hp over stock). A Customer can install the kit by himself and over the OBD flasher Pogea can flash a custom tune.
Lets see what happens next... :)
