So the 124 could spawn a hard-top coupe derivative as well as the folding roof set to launch late this year.

Which would you prefer? Would you hold off for the hard-top coupe version?

I prefer the soft top. It looks better. folding hard tops look clunky and insecure, like its ashamed of being a convertible. The softs also have a significant weight advantage, with the ND Miata shedding engine output why would you want to add extra heft?

I'd like the model to ship with a soft top, for less weight.


When the weather becomes less suited for top-down driving, I'd like to add an aftermarket hard top. I'd pay up to $2000 for a good one.
