I just go by the book and no service manual I have ever read has had the instruction of applying anti seize. There are instructions to apply lock-tite to certain fasteners. I have also seen explicit instructions not to apply anti seize on certain parts, mainly spark plugs due to the extra torque applied causing distortion. If the anti seize bottle has its own set of instructions that’s good to know, but I go by manufacturer and just don’t use the anti seize. Thank you for the information though.

Yes, we are going to have a bit of fun and toss the cat amongst the pigeons and take the Fiat 124 to Miata Reunion at Sonoma Raceway!

Getting our Fiat 124 Project converted for track use at Sonoma Raceway. On our 'System ONE' exhaust we pulled the resonator and installed the straight pipe, full sound for track! It is a bit loud pulling away from a stop but down the freeway the Helmholtz chamber still controls it really well. With the quick change V Clamp feature that change was just 5 minutes.

Our OHLINS 'Road and Track DFV' Coilovers are in this project and normally having road fun but in a week will be having the 'Track' fun.

Konig Hypergram 17x9 4X100 ET45 Race Bronze for the track portion of the weekend, which is Friday and Sunday. Tires are Falken 235/40-17 RT660+

Konig Hypergram 17x10 +43 4x100 Race Bronze for the autocross on Saturday. This is NOT a great autocross car thanks to narrow powerband of the turbo, but it will be fun.

Track Prep also means street Porterfield R4-S pads come off and R4 pads go one. One of the joys of using those Porferfield pads is that you can mix the street and midrange (R4-1) and full track R4 on the same rotor without need to clean rotors or even bed them seriously. I drove home from the shop with the R4 and not a peep from them though I know that will change once we get some track heat in them. This Project includes our Goodwin Racing Premium 12.88" Front Big Brake Kit Premium Track Rated and Tested Big Brakes.

READY for FUN at Sonoma Raceway!

Off with my red street hood and my red trunk. On with the junkyard hood that we vented for best cooling on track and on with junkyard rear trunk that we used to mount the Blackbird Spoiler that gives good balance with our front APR Splitter. See the new APR Carbon Fiber HOOD VENTS!
