The article fails to mention how tight supplies of "ideally configured" (my term/opinion) 124s are right now, but it's interesting nonetheless.

Can't say I like the sales figures (Miata or 124), but time will tell. I guess I (like many of you) don't have much of a desire to drive a SUV/big car full time.

I feel this is more a reflection of the American ethos that bigger is seemingly better. In Europe Fiat sold 179,395 500's in 2014, cornering a 1.4% share of EU-28 market.

By comparison only 33,708 units were sold in the U.S.

Car's aren't going anywhere, not for the rest of the world at least...
