...Do we know yet whether it is Fiat's or Mazda's? I read one report, I think in Car & Driver, that the plan was to use the 6-speed from the last generation Miata.

My Mazdas were autos so I don't have any first hand experience, but I've never heard anyone complain about Mazda's manual trannys. Seems like it would be the easiest and cheapest solution too since it was designed from the start for a rear drive car.

Yes we know, it's a Mazda transmission, but not the one in the current MX5.

Cool. I could never confirm what C&D said in their article (way back in November). And yes, they said from the 3rd generation Mazda - the NC. I'm getting excited to test drive one.

I'm actually quite excited to get in to one and take it for a spin as well. Really have to take it around some bendy roads though
