I am selling my Alfa Romeo 4C Launch Edition and I'm planning to buy FIAT 124 Spider.

http://www.carsauto.com/2015-alfa-romeo-4c-launch-edition-c-1313.htm?

The 4C is just too much performance for my needs and I want a real manual shift. The long doors and lack of power steering assist makes urban/sub-urban parking a challenge.

I commuted in a 1991 Miata for 100K miles and loved every minute of it. The ability to lower and raise the top at a stoplight was a big factor.

I'm disappointed that a manual is not yet available in the Lusso. Does anyone know if/when it will ever be offered?

Seems Canada has a handful of manual Lussos on the lots. They did the same thing with the 500 Lounge when it launched in 2011. Canada got all the manual cars first.

Yesterday a SoCal dealer told me that the Abarth's should be arriving by November, and that several of them will have manual transmissions.

I heard the same as LBJim ^. I spoke with one of the local dealers about an Abarth this past Saturday, and even the Classica/Lusso manuals arent showing up until September/October. The initial batch of Abarths in October are expected to be nearly entirely automatic as well.
